NCCC Supermarket becomes the first supermarket chain in Mindanao to fully install Gcash Scan-To-Pay service in all its branches in Davao and Palawan!
The service, which offers a hassle-free and convenient payment method was initially launched for a single branch in November of 2017. Ernest Cu, Globe CEO along with NCCC President and CEO, Lafayette A. Lim graced the occasion.
In March 2018, the service was formally made available at almost all 60 branches of NCCC Supermarket and Choice Mart by NCCC combined. Leading the launch at NCCC Supermarket Main Magsaysay was Asst. Vice-President for Comptrollership – Finance Division, Edward Ray Estilo and Gcash Mindanao Business Development Manager, Elvin Dayanghirang.
“The premise of Gcash is simple. Customers can now go cashless when shopping just by using the Gcash App and scanning the QR codes stationed at the NCCC check-out counters”, said Dayanghirang. “Once scanned, the app leads you to a page where you can input the amount of purchase and a confirmatory message will be received”, he added.
The Gcash Scan-to-Pay service is a game changer for both consumers and merchants as it allows safe and secured cashless transactions geared towards uplifting the shopping experience for Filipinos.
